What is 925 Silver ( Sterling Silver)
Pure Silver (Ag) also known as fine silver, has actual silver content of 99.9%. Because of it is high purity, fine silver is too soft to use in jewellery. 925 Silver ( Sterling Silver) is an alloy created when copper is added to pure silver in order to make the resulting compound more durable and less soft. SvenNordin Co. Sterling Silver has a party of 92.5%, meaning that 7.5% of the alloy is made of copper and zinc. Plating? Miles? Coating?
SvenNordin Co. Sterling Silver items are plated with a 2mm(80mils) layer of pure silver or black nickel depending on colour to improve the shine of the piece. Also, we are coating on top of the plated silver so that it can prevent your jewerly from oxidised. How to Take care of 925 Sterling Silver
- Jewellery is not meant to be worn, during sleep. Please take off when you sleep. While you are sleeping your sweat and oil escalate oxidize your jewerly
- Cosmetic, Sweat, Sea water or water can cause darken your silver, wash them with clean water gently and dry them as quickly as possible
- Regularly polishing with fabric that we provided. If you wash the fabric we provided, the polishing ability is reduced. Please do not wash the fabrics.
- When silver products become darken, you can use toothpaste to clean up or use silver cleaner
